the live community radio thing!

Fri May 09, 2008 at 03:52:59 PM PDT

Hi - Rob here again with All Over The Place on HomeGrownRadioNJ.org, the Internet radio show that's a musical education in three hours or less. Why do I post it here? Good question - wish I had an answer. Just felt it was my job to entertain you as you surfed the web. AOTP runs from 7 pm to 10 pm EST, in other words, right about now. Click on "listen live" to, you know, listen. Live.

About HomeGrownRadioNJ.org - it's a small community-based Internet radio operation located in Blairstown, NJ. We've been around for over 3 years and we just got our nonprofit status (hence the .org). HGRNJ DJs will play anything and everything!

Drop a comment in if you have a musical request. I've got a 320 GB hard drive and I'm not afraid to use it.

Go here to tune in.

Updates below.

6.55 pm - Black Crowes in the leadoff spot, followed by some obscure UK pop - Stiff Little Fingers, The Wolfhounds, and Au Pairs.

7.25 pm - up next, the new eMusic set. Some rereleases from Red Lorry Yellow Lorry and Benny Profane, newer stuff from The Daysleepers, Lukestar, James McMurtry and Lavender Diamond (that's been heard in a recent JC Penney commercial).

8 pm - some new things - Henry Rollins, Flight of the Conchords, Billy Bragg, The Kills, Jimmy Eat World (reissue).

8.45 pm - Coming up - a lot of Nick Lowe.
